What's with the name?
Māui is a mythical Māori hero who shaped the world through daring feats, including slowing the sun and fishing up Te Ika-a-Māui (the NZ North Island). He also attempted to defeat death, a failure that explained human mortality. Through his courage, cunning, and occasional recklessness, Māui embodies the Māori values of ingenuity, curiosity, and the delicate balance between ambition and respect for natural and spiritual laws.
'Midnight' is our dark version of this ring. We hope the wearer channels the power of its chosen name.
